A Crazy Day....

Ugh.. Cant my life be anymore complicated than it is right now??? I had my Dr appt this morning at 9:45am.. It did not turn out so good and I expected this to happen, since i wasn't doing my part at all... My blood sugar level dropped a tiny bit but still high.. My Dr reprimanded me about my medication because I was honest with her that I didn't take the medication as I was supposed to.. Thyroid levels very good.. My weight, unfortunately went up at 306 from 304 from the previous visit.. She was NOT happy with me about it.. So her Dr orders to me was that I start counting calories and told me to go to calorieking.com for check calories and want me to get out and exercise more or find something at home that I can do more with. I guess I might have to hold off on the pregnancy thing until i lose some weight.. I can't see the future for my health is right now.

Ah... I had my other doctor's appt.. It went really well except it was with a different nurse practitioner.. she is a really sweet lady and understands the struggles im going through... Talked to her about my period problem.. She said need to keep consistent with my metformin ( blood sugar med) and provera and it will work out in order for me to get my regular menstruation periods... Also will help with losing weight as well... I also found out i was a little bit constipated so she said i really need more fiber in my diet. I will be meeting with her every Tuesday for weigh in and food journal so can adjust what i can eat and what i do not need and what excerise i can do at home more ... I will have the opportunity to get pregnant once i know im able to lose weight like im really supposed to. Eh!

Food journals help so much. Because it makes you think twice about what you put in your mouth if you have to write it down. Esp if someone else has to see it. My aunt referred me to sparkpeople.com. I agree on the food journal, if you have to think twice about whether you are going to want to write down what you eat, then you probably shouldn't eat it. It guilts you into eating healthy :)

Hey, Melanie. I agree, food journals are very helpful. Another free one is available at fitday.com. It allows you to track your exercise as well.

Melanie, thanks for leaving a message for me. A food journal is where it is at! I totally cut out all FAT (except 2 teaspoons of canola or olive oil a day) and started eating fruits and vegetables. It is very, very hard and I do not eat any fast food at all, I carry all my food with me. I had to do that because I knew I would not have any will power if I did not cut it all the way out. But, hey, I save money in the long run and I lost weight- 75 pounds! So, I am rooting for you!!!! You go girl.
