Merry Christmas to you all! Time for our annual Christmas Letter 2009!
This past year has had a lot of ups and downs but we've always made it through! So Here are some updates from this past year:
January ~ Had our town house refinanced because the APR rate was down so they wanted us to have the best possible rate and a permanent one because we used to be at 3 year arm.
February, March - No News.
April- Damon was the Team Lead and Acting Supervisor since Supervisor Tyler got promoted and moved on.
May - No News.
June - Damon's sister and kids visited us which it was fun and great to see them. Damon finally ended his acting supervisor duties now that one of our coworkers Samuel Butler got promoted to our new supervisor. My sister Misty received her mission call to Guatemala. She leaves Oct 7th to MTC. I attended the Miss Deaf Utah Pageant with a friend. It was my first time to see one. Had a nice time visiting with old friends and meeting new faces.
July - Melanie turned 27. Just another year older.
August.. no news there..
September ~ had my haircut with my sister Misty. Something new to try, although haven't put my hair down which is not often enough. Attended Misty's farewell. It was good. Damon came with me just to show support :D
October ~ Misty left for MTC on the 7th. I went new clothes shopping and had lunch out with a friend. It was fun! Then went to SLC with friend again for dinner out and visiting old friends and seeing new faces at some place which i cant remember what it was.
November ~ Spent time with family for thanksgiving and visited Damon's parents in SLC the day after. Damon turned 29. Misty left on the 17th to Guatemala.
Damon has been through a quite few job changes at Ancestry.com (the company changed their name from The Generations Network to Ancestry.com not too long ago). He was team lead a year ago and now was doing acting supervisor duties for a few months which was from April to June. He then resumed his normal Team Lead duties under new supervisor which was one of our coworkers that we work with. I think about August or September, a new formed department called Archiving that Damon and another coworker are now currently on. Damon loves what hes doing now, since all he gets to do is do backups, restores ( they are tapes either backing up the content or restoring content), delivery drives and such. He is still full time there.
Melanie is still working at Ancestry.com as part time as usual. She is grateful for the opportunity to work extra shifts which she has been doing all this past year and still is doing them.
Mandi our lovable dog is doing great and still is always sweet.
We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
Love,
Melanie and Damon Davis
